EA Sports FC 26 Release Date and Cover Stars Revealed

EA has officially pulled back the curtain on EA Sports FC 26, confirming a September 26 launch for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Players who buy the Ultimate Edition will be able to jump in a week early, starting September 19.

### Cover Stars and Editions
This year’s cover lineup splits across editions. Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala will share the spotlight on the Standard Edition, while the Ultimate Edition opts for a more icon-driven angle with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

### Switch 2 Included, Switch Still Supported
EA is also positioning FC 26 as a cross-generation release across Nintendo’s hardware, listing both Switch and Switch 2 versions at launch. That dual support suggests EA is aiming to keep its massive handheld audience intact while also capitalizing on the newer platform’s early momentum.

### What’s Next for FC 26?
EA hasn’t fully outlined every gameplay change yet, but the timing of the announcement signals the usual late-summer marketing ramp-up—expect deeper reveals on modes like Ultimate Team, Career, and online features as release approaches.

For players, the biggest immediate decision is whether the week of early access and Ultimate Edition extras are worth the premium. For EA, FC 26 is another key test of how the post-FIFA branding holds up long-term—and how effectively the franchise can keep growing across console generations and Nintendo’s transition.
