Originally released in the mid-to-late 1990s, Suikoden and Suikoden II earned their reputation through large-scale political storytelling, strategic war battles, and the series’ signature “108 Stars of Destiny” recruitment system. That structure—building a growing army of allies and watching your base expand—helped the games stand out in an era packed with genre heavyweights.

Konami’s HD Remaster package aims to preserve what made both titles special while smoothing out the rough edges for today’s audiences.
