GTA 6 Trailer 2: Release Window, Characters, and More

Rockstar Games has released a second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, offering a clearer look at its modern-day Vice City setting and the criminal duo at the center of the story. The video leans harder into tone and character than pure gameplay, but it still drops plenty of details fans have been waiting to see.

### A Closer Look at Vice City and the New Leads
The trailer spotlights the game’s sun-bleached, social-media-saturated version of Vice City and its surrounding areas, with quick cuts of nightlife, highways, beaches, and chaotic street-level crime. It also puts more emphasis on the protagonists’ relationship, framing GTA 6 as a partnership-driven crime story rather than a single antihero power fantasy.

### What Rockstar Is (and Isn’t) Showing
As with many Rockstar reveals, the footage is presented cinematically, making it difficult to separate scripted sequences from real-time play. Still, the trailer suggests denser crowds, more detailed interiors, and a heavier focus on contemporary culture—elements Rockstar has historically used to sell the leap between console generations.

### Release Timing and Platforms
Rockstar has reiterated that GTA 6 is targeting a launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no PC version formally confirmed in the announcement. That isn’t unusual for the publisher: Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 both arrived on PC later, following their console debuts.

### Why This Matters
A second trailer is more than hype fuel—it’s a signal that Rockstar and parent company Take-Two are moving into a more aggressive marketing phase for what will likely be the biggest entertainment launch of its year. For players, the biggest takeaway is that GTA 6’s identity is coming into focus: a character-led crime saga built around modern Vice City, with production values that look positioned to set a new bar for open-world games.
